Colored dissolved organic matter (CDOM)

This dataset is not yet available in the current version of Tarkka.

Colored dissolved organic matter (CDOM) characterizes the amount of dissolved organic matter in water. It is the result of partially or fully decomposed organic material containing carbon. The interpretation of CDoM from satellite observations is currently in the method development phase, and the available data includes example observations. The interpretation is based on observations from NASA’s Landsat 8 satellite’s Operational Land Imager (OLI) instrument (as well as the Sentinel-2 series’ Multispectral Imager, separate metadata) starting from 2016. The interpretation is conducted with a spatial resolution of 60 meters.
